How the DC Voltmeter works
With included RJ 12 patch cable, this IP-capable DC sensor will be connected to the proven IP-based remote monitoring devices from manufacturer Didactum. This DC Voltmeter / DC voltage sensor is used for the IP-network remote monitoring of DC voltage conditions of solar panels, battery systems, pressure transducers, motors, laboratory instruments, etc.. An additional power supply for this IP-sensor DC voltage is not needed, because it`s powered by Didactum`s remote measurement and monitoring device.
By use of inexpensive RJ 12 patch cable, this DC-Voltmeter can be extended to up to 50 meters to support a flexible installation. By autodetection function, this DC Voltmeter immediately detected by the remote monitoring unit and listed in multilingual web GUI. Get notifications and alerts in case of DC voltage threshold changes via e-mail, SMS (GSM Modem or 3rd party gateway requird) or via SNMP traps.
In the easy to use webinterface of Didactum`s remote monitoring devices, you just have to define the desired measurement parameters and scale settings. The measured DC voltage values can be exported to external monitoring tools (RRDtool, Cacti, etc.) and software such as Microsoft Excel.
Didactum DC Monitor
The DC monitor was designed specifically for network-based monitoring of DC voltage and is compatible with all Didactum monitoring systems. The plug & play DC voltage sensor is simply connected to any available port of the Didactum monitoring system and will be automatically detected. You can then configure the DC voltage sensor.
