Monitoring system 500 II

The IP network-based Monitoring System 500 II serves the non-stop protection of enterprise-critical infrastructure, for example server room, production or logistic.

The Monitoring System 500 II of the manufacturer Didactum

Monitor important physical environmental influences, such as temperature, humidity or air circulation. The proven 500 II remote monitoring and surveillance unit can detect and report catastrophic events, such as fire, water damage or burglary, at an very early stage.

The factory-calibrated IP-sensor temperature is part of the delivery of this network-enabled remote monitoring unit. Measure the temperature in the range from minus 40 to plus 100 degrees Celsius. On request, using inexpensive RJ-11 (telephone) cable, the temperature sensor can be extended to 100 meters.

By means of auto-identification, all intelligent sensors are detected and immediately displayed in the multilingual web interface of the IP network-based measuring and monitoring device.

Expansion of the Environmental and Security Monitoring

If more than 8 sensors are required for the the monitoring of important infrastructure, you can connect optional sensor boxes to the IP-based remote monitoring device. Each sensor box provides 8 ports for additional IP sensors such as motion detectors, door contacts, smoke detectors, water leakage sensor and also current sensors.

Depending on your the requirements and purpose of the application, you can assemble your custom remote monitoring solution.

Easily export recorded sensor data

Log into the Web-GUI over TCP / IP network or Internet. With a simple mouse click, you can download the measured data stored in the data logger of the network-enabled

measuring and monitoring device. Thanks to it`s full SNMPv1 / v2c / v3 support, the remote monitoring device 500 II supports data transmission of collected sensor data over LAN / WAN.

IP network-based Dry Contact Monitoring

Monitor the dry contacts of important via IP network- The IP-based 500 II monitoring units offers 4 dry contact inputs for the IP connection of relays and dry contacts. Connect the dry contact outputs of emergency generators, UPS systems, fire alarm systems, CO2 extinguishers, and HVAC equipment.

In the web interface, you can configure each dry contact input individually. With the optional expansion board, you get 8 additional dry contact inputs, 2 bistable relays and one input for battery power supply.

Immediate notification in case of critical status changes

Each intelligent sensor can be individually configured in the multilingual WEB-GUI of IP-based 500 II remote monitoring unit. For example, you can set individual limits and theresholds for the precise SNMP enabled temp sensor.

Use the built-in logics of the monitoring unit, to determine how you and your colleagues are notified and alerted in case of over-temperature, dew point, smoke, or water damage.

Without software dependencies, the 500 II monitoring unit can send notifications and alarms in the form of e-mails or SMS text messages (via optional GSM modem). SNMP Traps can be used to send critical events to SCADA solutions, SNMP tools, DCIM Sotfware solutions and Network-Management-Systems (NMS). MIB files and Nagios plugins are included.

Monitoring System 500 II

The monitoring system 500 II is a stand-alone monitoring device. Thanks to it`s full SNMPv1, SNMPv2c and SNMPv3 (encrypted) support, this networked remote monitoring unit can be used with SNMP monitoring tools and Network Management Systems (NMS) such as Nagios or OpenNMS and many, many more. This monitoring device has a built-in Web server for easy configuration. It supports standard network protocols such as CAN, DHCP, HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, SNMPget, SMTP, FTP, Radius, Syslog and TLS.
