Water Sensor - Reliable Detection of water leakage and water intrusion

The SNMP-enabled single spot water sensor was deleveloped by AKCP Inc. for early detection of water leakage and water instrusion. This water detector also detects the presence of distilled water leaking from air-conditioning systems and UPS or batteries.

Protect your infratructures against leaks and accidents in which you install AKCP`s water sensor - in combination with the remote monitoring hardware you are instantly alerted in case of escaping moisture / water intrusion. The water leakage sensor has it`s own OID, so that an SNMP in monitoring system / network monitoring solutions is easily possible.

Reliable detection of even distilled water

The measurement unit of single spot water detector is based on advanced microprocessor technology from AKCP Inc. and provides an early detection of water / moisture. By measuring the conductivity of water, this sensor can reliably detect even distilled / demineralized water / condensation from e.g. air conditioners or UPS batteries.

Compatibility of AKCP`s water sensor:

The water detector sensor is compatible with the sensorProbe2 (AK-SP2), sensorProbe8 (AK-SP8) and securityProbe (AK-SEC) IT monitoring hardware. Simply connect the water-sensor to one of the sensorPorts of the sensorProbe / securityProbe device.

Didactum® tip: AKCP`s water sensor is used for spot detection of water / moisture. If you want to protect larger installations against flooding, please look at our new ropeWater sensor. The ropeWater sensor is ideal to protect server racks / server cabinets.

NMS-Integration of the water detector

The water detector from AKCP Inc. is SNMP-enabled and has an it`s own OID. A integration in monitoring tools like MRTG, Cacti or network monitoring systems such as Nagios, OpenNMS, IBM Tivoli, or WhatsUp Gold is possible. This allows you to remotely monitor the safety of your infrastructures in distributed locations around the clock.

Our advice: If you do not have a network management system in use, you should check our securityProbe 5E once more, as it is equipped with the popular Nagios open source monitoring solution.

AutoSense function / automatic detection of the water leakage sensor

The AKCP Inc. water detector is automatically detected by sensorProbe2, sensorProbe8 and securityProbe environmental monitoring devices. If the connection of the water detector to AKCP monitoring device may be suspended by manipulation or vandalism, the administrators are alerted by disconnect feature. So you can trust on the 7x24 protection of your computing room / data centre.
