What are main differences between securityProbe and the new 5th generation securityProbe-5E?
The new AKCP securityProbe 5E has all the functionality of the previous generation securityProbe, but it`s faster and more expandable. The securityProbe-5E has a 520 MHz CPU and more memory. In addition the securityProbe-5E also has an onboard SD card slot that comes with standard with a 2GB SD card.
The new securityProbe-5E has 4 RJ-45 expansion ports for E-sensor8 and E-opto16 expansion units on it`s front. The new securityProbe-5E has 2 USB ports in place of the serial port of the previous version. If you want to attach e.g.the GPRS/GSM Modem DD-SI-GSM, you can use a serial to USB converter.
